STEPHANIE CARRIE is originally from Christchurch, New Zealand and therefore loves Marmite and small flightless birds. She studied Russian at NYU, comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade and ‘divining winning lottery numbers’ at New Age workshops her mother forced her to go to as a child.

She has developed and sold feature films and television shows to Sony, HBOMax, Secret Hideout, LuckyChap, Astronauts Wanted and more.

Her script about a young woman joining ISIS and the Syrian resistance made the Blacklist for the best unproduced screenplays in Hollywood and is currently in pre-production with Oscar-nominated director Feras Fayyad.

The rest of her scripts do not involve ISIS, she swears. 

Steph has written, directed and performed in many comedy sketches over the years. Her viral vids have been called “brilliant” by Time, “absolute parody gold” by The Nerdist and “sxyy” by PitsMan717 on Twitter.

In addition to writing, Stephanie runs TreesOfLA, a popular Insta account helping Angelinos identify the street trees around them.

She also has 2 kids! And she’s exhausted.
